Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has arrived in Munich on a working visit.

The Prime Minister will participate in the official opening ceremony of the Munich Security Conference. Within the framework of the conference, Nikol Pashinyan will have a number of bilateral meetings with foreign counterparts.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in a breakfast roundtable discussion on “Minilateralism and the Transition from Global Alliances to Targeted Partnerships” jointly organized by the Applied Policy Research Institute of Armenia (APRI Armenia) and the Observer Research Foundation within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.

During the event, changes in the security environment in the modern world, the effectiveness of large formal alliances and the role of cooperation in small formats were discussed. It continued in a closed format.

In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan presented Armenia’s consistent policy aimed at strengthening a balanced and balancing foreign policy. The Prime Minister emphasized that building flexible, but at the same time predictable and reliable partnerships is of particular importance for ensuring Armenia’s security and sustainable development.

In his speech, Nikol Pashinyan noted that Armenia's foreign policy is aimed at strengthening the country's security and economic development through constructive cooperation with international partners. The Prime Minister also touched upon the key priorities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, including steps aimed at establishing regional peace and the implementation of "Crossroads of Peace" project.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with European Council President António Costa in the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

The interlocutors discussed a number of issues related to the Armenia-European Union cooperation agenda.

The Prime Minister highlighted EU’s continued support for the consistent promotion of democratic reforms in Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the full implementation of the reform agenda is one of the priorities of the Armenian Government. At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that Armenia attaches importance to expanding and developing multilateral ties with the EU aimed at developing capabilities in various fields.

António Costa welcomed the steps of the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at strengthening democracy and implementing institutional reforms. At the same time, the President of the European Council expressed the EU’s commitment to strengthening the partnership based on common values and deepening cooperation in all areas.

The interlocutors discussed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the possibilities of unblocking regional communication routes, and issues related to the “Crossroads of Peace” project of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

At the same time, António Costa highlighted and welcomed the steps and initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at peace.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the founding chairman of the international political advisory organization Rasmussen Global and former NATO Secretary General, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

The interlocutors exchanged views on regional developments and security challenges. Issues related to security and stability in the South Caucasus, the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan were discussed, and both sides emphasized the importance of continuous efforts in this direction.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the opening ceremony of the Munich Security Conference.

The event was attended by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Antonio Costa, US Vice President , and leaders of other countries and heads of government.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to have a number of bilateral meetings within the framework of the conference.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with German Bundestag member, spokesperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Nils Schmid, and MEP Tobias Cremer.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation and strengthening ties, including within the framework of international platforms. Nikol Pashinyan considered it necessary to consistently expand and strengthen relations in various directions.

During the meeting, Armenia-European Union cooperation, as well as other issues of regional importance, were discussed.

In Munich, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Markus Pertl, President of the Stern Stewart Institute.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on reforms being implemented to improve Armenia’s investment climate, ensure economic growth, and promote macroeconomic stability.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.

Prime Minister Pashinyan wished good health to those injured in the recent incident in Munich.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the agenda of Armenia-Germany bilateral relations and the prospects for deepening multi-sectoral cooperation.

Prime Minister Pashinyan attached importance to the expansion of bilateral ties and the activation of trade and economic ties.

The interlocutors also touched upon issues of regional security and stability.

Prime Minister Pashinyan presented the Armenian Government’s efforts to establish peace in the region, in that context providing details of the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative based on the principles of sovereignty, jurisdiction, equality and reciprocity, as well as developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process.

Chancellor Scholz, in turn, noted that Germany is ready to continue supporting Armenia’s democratic reform agenda, as well as the steps towards establishing peace.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation and emphasized the importance of continuing bilateral political dialogue.

A meeting between the Prime Ministers of Armenia and Norway, Nikol Pashinyan and Jonas Gahr Støre, took place in Munich.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to cooperation between Armenia and Norway and its further development.

In this regard, the parties attached importance to the recent visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia to Norway, which gave a new impetus to bilateral relations.

Nikol Pashinyan and Jonas Gahr Støre also touched upon the further development of Armenia-European Union relations, as well as other topics of regional importance.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the President of Iraqi Kurdistan Nechirvan Barzani.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the bilateral trade and economic cooperation and emphasized the importance of deepening business ties, which will give an additional impetus to economic relations.

The sides also exchanged views on issues of regional importance. The importance of implementing consistent steps towards ensuring peace and stability was emphasized.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković in Munich.

During the meeting, the prospects for the development of political and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

Both sides emphasized the importance of taking steps to increase trade turnover, as well as the need to organize high-level bilateral visits.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of developing Armenia-EU relations and noted Croatia’s support for deepening Armenia’s cooperation with the EU and the effective implementation of democratic reforms.

The interlocutors also touched upon the process of the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue. The parties also exchanged views on regional security and stability issues.

Within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu.

During the meeting, the cooperation between Armenia and the OSCE and its development prospects were discussed.

Feridun Sinirlioğlu presented the priorities and programs for the organization’s future activities. The parties also touched upon issues of regional importance.

The peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan was highlighted, the success of which will play a significant role in ensuring regional stability.

The OSCE Secretary General reaffirmed the organization’s readiness to support efforts to establish peace and stability.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with David Wadephul, Chairman of Germany-South Caucasus friendship group of the Bundestag.

Issues related to Armenia-Germany relations, as well as inter-parliamentary cooperation, were discussed.

The sides exchanged views on Armenia-European Union cooperation, as well as issues of regional importance.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President of Finland Alexander Stubb within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for the development of Armenia-Finland cooperation, emphasizing the importance of deepening multilateral ties and the need for consistent steps in that direction.

During the meeting, Armenia-European Union relations were discussed, as well as the process of democratic reforms being implemented in our country with the assistance of the EU.

Prime Minister Pashinyan presented the peace process with Azerbaijan, the Armenian Government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, and the principles for unblocking regional communication routes within its framework.

President of Finland Alexander Stubb noted that his country supports Armenia’s efforts to ensure regional peace and stability.

A meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and representatives of the Armenian community in Germany took place in Munich.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister presented the challenges facing Armenia and the steps being taken to overcome them, touched upon the priorities of the domestic and foreign policy of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, as well as efforts aimed at ensuring regional peace.

Nikol Pashinyan answered questions of those present, which related to the state governance system, the reform process, Armenia-Diaspora relations, and the Government programs implemented in various sectors of Armenia.
