PM Pashinyan visits Soldier’s House Rehabilitation Center, honors the memory of the fallen heroes with a minute of silence together with the defenders of the Motherland

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, together with Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan visited the Soldier's House, Defender of the Fatherland Rehabilitation Center.
The Prime Minister, accompanied by YSMU rector Armen Muradyan, first toured around the rehabilitation center, got acquainted with the ongoing activities of the specialized rehabilitation center designed specially for former servicemen with disabilities, the future development programs of the center, as well as the works presented at the exhibition-sale called ‘’Beauty from soldiers’’. The defenders of the fatherland will donate all the proceeds from the latter to the Defender of the Fatherland Rehabilitation Center.
It was reported that a special room will be opened in the Soldier's House in the near future, where the boys will study pottery, sculpture, and develop their skills in different directions.
The project called ‘’Unity Carpet’’ was also presented to Nikol Pashinyan, in the sidelines of which the Soldier’s House and the ‘’Megerian Carpet’’ jointly create a carpet with about two million and five hundred thousand knots. Any Armenian in the world has the opportunity to participate in the works of the project.
The weaving machine of the Unity Carpet is placed at the Defender of the Fatherland Rehabilitation Center, in the hall after Armenak Urfanyan, which was opened on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian Army and which was renovated and furnished with state-of-the-art equipment with the support of the My Step Foundation.
Afterwards, Prime Minister Pashinyan met with the Defenders of the Fatherland receiving treatment at the Soldier's House, got acquainted with their recovery process, and answered a number of questions. During the meeting, at 11:00, the Prime Minister and the defenders of the fatherland honored the memory of the heroic Armenians who died in the 44-day war with a minute of silence.
The Prime Minister noted that the Government will continue to focus on the problems of all servicemen with disabilities, and the programs will be aimed at providing them with the necessary items and modern equipment, creating appropriate conditions for education, and providing professional training. ‘’It’s important that the servicemen with disabilities be ready for a full life, taking into account their preferences and the provision of the educational component by the state’’, Nikol Pashinyan said, adding that it will also help them to strengthen their self-confidence.
As for the issues raised during the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministers of Health, Labor and Social Affairs to study the presented problems and find solutions to them.
