Today, the regular Cabinet meeting was held, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

The Government decision envisages recognizing the manifestations of a number of diseases in the list of diseases determining the degree of eligibility of a citizen or serviceman as limitedly eligible for military service after the expiration of the once-given deferment period if no deterioration in health status is recorded, as well as clarifying the conditions of military service contraindicated for such health status and the descriptions of a number of diseases. Nikol Pashinyan recalled that the concept of transforming the army was discussed and approved at a recent session of the Security Council. The Prime Minister emphasized that not only the army, but also the public's attitude towards the army must be transformed.

The government has adopted a decision to co-finance subvention programs aimed at developing community infrastructure in the amount of 2 billion 954 million AMD. Accordingly, it is planned to co-finance 46 programs in 28 communities. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khutadyan noted: "With this decision, we will have co-financing in the amount of 31.8 billion AMD from the 2024 state budget for subsidy programs, which is 1.5 billion AMD more than the previous year's figure."

By the government's decision, Mushegh Muradyan was relieved of the post of Shirak governor. By another decision, Davit Arushanyan was appointed as Shirak governor.

The government made changes to the procedure for compensating individuals for damage caused by floods in Lori and Tavush regions on May 25-26, 2024. As a result, 25 families affected by the May 2024 flood will receive 148,050 AMD to purchase an apartment for square meter instead of the previous 63,400 AMD.

After discussing the reported agenda items, the Prime Minister provided information on the 33 billion 249 million AMD transferred to the state budget of the Republic of Armenia by the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine last week as a dividend of the Republic of Armenia.

“I think this is an event worth highlighting, because, in fact, something like this has not happened in the Republic of Armenia for 20 or more years. I want to emphasize that this number does not include taxes,” said Nikol Pashinyan and added that this year 73 billion 800 million AMD in taxes have already been paid and, at least in the visible horizon, this is also a very large number compared to the taxes paid in the previous period. “Of course, international market prices also play a significant role in these taxes and dividends. This is not due to only one factor, but I must also note that since the Government acquired a stake in the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, we have had a fairly good dynamics of taxes being paid. I repeat, here we must take into account international prices and sales volume. But, in fact, the combination of the two factors results in the fact that in the 11 months of this year the state budget received 107 billion AMD revenue from the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine received 107 billion AMD, and this is important to note," the Prime Minister said.
